Facebook Launches Mobile Ads and Premium Formats
In the lead up to their highly anticipated IPO, Facebook has introduced mobile ads for the first time.
The majority of Facebook’s revenue comes from advertising. In there IPO filing last month it was revealed that 85% of the social networks total revenue in 2011 came from advertising.
The ads will now enable brands to include coupons and videos as part of there online ad campaign on the social networking site. The ads will also appear in user’s timelines.
A number of brands have already updated there brand pages including Manchester United, Burberry and Coca-Cola.
