Bing To See Major Investment

As Bing becomes of ever increasing importance to Microsoft, Chief Executive Steve Ballmer has stated that Microsoft is prepared to invest up to 10 per cent of it’s operating income for the benefit of its search business.
As industry figures revealed during the early stages of Bing’s release, it is a strong contender in the search industry with the very real potential to cause a serious threat to Google’s number one position.
Microsoft is keen to chase Google’s, until now, unrivaled position and believes that investment is the way to do it. It is also looking at a possible partnership with Yahoo! as an alternative method of pursuing Google’s market lead.
