My Client is a Full Service Digital Agency looking for an Account Director with CRM and database management experience based in West Sussex. The Account Director takes full responsibility for the development & profitability of one or more clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of:
Client relationship management (CRM): being able to understand their clients’ businesses - their goals, their strategy and their market and to continually demonstrate how the agency can add value.
Internal team management: to ensure that a consistently high quality service is delivered to the client through the planning & management of day to day activity.
Responsibilities
· To develop an annual plan for each client & to manage the account to meet these goals
· To work pro-actively and in a challenging fashion with senior members of a client’s team to help develop their business.
· To co-ordinate all jobs / activities in progress for a client, whilst taking responsibility for the management and delivery of certain key initiatives
· To involve as necessary (in order to meet client objectives) additional personnel (e.g. Business Development and Consultancy teams)
· To forecast and report on client revenue and profitability
· To support and manage junior members of the client team, with specific responsibility for the day to day workload of Account Managers and Account Executives
· To hold internal and external client reviews on a quarterly basis.
Skills and Experience
· Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
· Ability to build and maintain solid client relationships
· Ability to acquire new business and develop client business
· Bravery to take the lead and assume full responsibility for the service that the agency provides to a client
· Ability to challenge the status quo and make (and take the consequences of) key decisions
· A good understanding of Database Marketing and CRM
· Data literacy and experience of marketing systems / technology
· Experience of working within a marketing services business or within a marketing services team client-side
· Experience of managing people
