Job Details:
My client is a top full service digital agency based in the centre of Leeds. They have historically outsourced their SEO to their sister office in Manchester, however they are now looking to bring this in house.
The SEO Manager will be in charge of around 5 blue chip clients and will be central to the development of the broader SEO team in the future.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for launching/maintaining the SEO team Integration with Manchester office to ensure best practice processes are replicated Responsible for managing the day to day running and development of the SEO product and client base Generating revenue via SEO and ultimately judged against this core objective The management of content and editorial both on and off page Liaising with Pay Per Click teams to ensure synergy between both SEM channels Educating colleagues and clients on SEM developments and raising awareness of the SEO function High operational understanding of client business Liaising with members of campaign delivery team and external providers The communication of developments for the SEO team, senior members of staff and clients JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ensuring sustained profitability across designated SEO projects Optimise ongoing campaigns to meet and exceed client’s performance objectives Assessing web analytics data and historical campaign data to create ROI performance planning and benchmarks targeting Contribution to new business enquiries involving SEO including pitch presenting where required in conjunction with existing Senior Search Consultants Liaison with clients and internal departments across the entire campaign delivery process A strong understanding of the major on-page and off-page factors which influence the natural search ranking such as indexability, the role of off page etc A strong understanding of mainstream analytics (inc Google Analytics) and Double Click An ability to provide a well defined site assessment on current natural search performance following in-depth analysis SEO-friendly copywriting skills Development of link acquisition techniques for clients Create and lead new business presentation with new and existing clients of the company Proactively researching and advising colleagues of new SEO innovations such as digital asset optimisation, online PR and social media To create proposals, presentation and other documents for client use in the evaluation and approval of SEM plans Work alongside senior members of staff to ensure all client contracts are in place and that pricing and terms of business are captured correctly and accurately To provide clients and internal department members with industry updates and articles which are relevant to the SEO team Contribute to organizational operations beyond the basic job requirements, including but not limited to methodology development, recruitment, tool improvements and process redesigns Potential to recruit, guide and direct staff in the development, production and execution of client campaigns and ensure all services align with the agency’s vision, core competencies and financial goals Ability to outline resource requirements and implementing best practice across the team Ability to manage and mentor the team on an ongoing basis and provide them with appropriate development opportunities, balanced with the business needs of the agency QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Excellent interpersonal skills, including extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
Educated to degree level
Required to demonstrate related industry experience with proven ability as a self-starter
At least 3 years of online marketing and/or related strategy work in an online setting including campaign development and performance analysis
2+ years of demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service, with a strong client-service orientation
Previous experience in working cross-functionally across an organization
Sound business acumen, financial analysis skills and strategic awareness
Demonstrated experience of analysing and interpreting complex data including the usage of advanced Excel
The ability to manage projects to completion, multi-task and work within tight deadlines
Exceptional creative thinking and problem-resolutions skills which will contribute value in a dynamic, client-centred environment
The ability to work well in a team, to shine as an individual and maintain a sense of humour
Experience managing P&L for a digital business
