My client, set in the heart of Didsbury, is looking for a senior .Net developer who is after a challenge. The company runs a portfolio of very successful companies currently and has done so over the last 5 years. They are now at the point where the company needs to take the next step to develop and grow the business further. Integral to this next step of the business, is the need to bring all development projects in house and start to grow a development team of their own.

For this progression to happen, the company need to appoint a senior .Net developer with a number of commercial years of experience behind them. Ideally working across, windows, web and mobile development projects, this person will have worked with .Net (C# or VB.Net), ASP.Net, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax and any other relevant technologies such as Web Services, WCF and WPF etc.

To start with, this role will be the sole developer in the company. This person will need to be able to instigate technical projects, to give advice on the correct technologies and methodologies to adopt. The company need guidance on best practice and industry standards and compliancy issues and need someone who is able to put all of this into practice and be hands on in the development of the project.

It is essential for this role that you are able to commute technical specifications to non-technical people and translate commercial needs into successful development projects. You will need exceptional business, communication and technical skills for this role.

As well as the technical requirements for the role, the company ideally needs someone who has previous experience of leading a team of developers.
