Job Details:
My Clients are looking for bright, self-motivated and enthusiastic web developers in order to implement and develop its ECP content management and business data applications. The successful candidates will be required to work as part of a team whilst also taking ownership of their various projects. These will range from large feature developments to implementation of websites and other installations.
VerseOne prides itself on being extremely responsive to its client base and within its wider target markets and, as such, the successful candidate will often be required to engage with clients and understand and relay their needs to the business.
The candidate is required to design and implement websites and intranets for deployment using a CMS (content management system) and will be working mainly on designs. The candidate should present excellent client-facing skills and knowledge of semantic and validated XHTML, HTML5, CSS, and Javascript/jQuery. The candidate should ideally have knowledge in coding Accessible and search-engine-friendly websites. The candidate should feel comfortable working with ColdFusion or similar back-end technologies, and be capable of integrating XHTML and HTML5 templates into a content management system. The candidate will need to present a creative portfolio of website designs and coding for assessment.
Candidate requirements:
·Knowledge and experience of creating complex queries in MySQL and/or MS SQL
·Knowledge and experience of object-oriented programming for creating web applications using Python, PHP, Coldfusion or similar
·An excellent understanding of JQuery, AJAX and Javascript
·Detailed understanding of XHTML and HTML5 output
Desirable:
·A good working knowledge of CSS
·A good working knowledge of SVN, Git, or other similar version control environment
·Some understanding or knowledge of C#, .Net or similar Microsoft environments
·An understanding of UI and usability concepts
·An understanding of Web Accessibility
